Industry case studies for Digital Training Academy courses

Our training is fuelled by best practice from brands that have achieved excellence in digital marketing, digital strategy and digital media. Agencies from any country can submit case studies for the Digital Training Academy to consider.

On this page you'll find a few of the digital marketing case studies we've recently accepted and we hope you enjoy learning from them. Each represents an aspect of best practice we've found useful when teaching digital marketing, and if you're joining us for a Digital Training Academy, then ask about case studies in your sector.



Submit your digital marketing case studies

Digital Case StudiesYou can do this online through our online submission form or by email. If you'd like to submit examples of your work then email them into CaseStudies@DigitalTrainingAcademy.com and after an initial review we'll be in touch if we feel they can be used to support learning goals.

There is also an online submission tool, here: http://www.digitaltrainingacademy.com/submit. By sending us a case study you agree we can use it in training, conference speeches, book chapters and reports and other media. You need to be confident you have the necessary rights and permissions from partners or clients to be able to do this. Case studies cannot be restricted to one particular course so we can only accept material which can be used in any aspect of our training. However, if youd like us to withdraw a case study at any point, then we can do this within two weeks.

Budweiser revives a Brazilian basketball legend to share its core values »

“Being true to your choices is what makes you an icon”. Oscar Schmidt is a retired Brazilian basketball legend who mostly played in his country and in Europe between the 80s-90s. The all-time leading scorer in the history of basketball was naturally drafted to play in the NBA in 1984 but due to an old ruling which prohibited playing for the NBA and any other team, he rejected the offer so he would be allowed to play for his national team. He chose the “hard way” to become a famous player so in 2016, Budweiser who sponsors the NBA in Brazil partnered with ESPN to give Oscar a remarkable tribute and the challenge he always deserved at a time where Brazil got suspended from international competitions by the FIBA.

IKEA Retail Therapy case study: How IKEA creatively used search to get products seen where they wouldn’t normally be seen »

In November 2016, IKEA launched the “Retail Therapy” ad campaign created by the Swedish advertising agency Åkestam Holst, which renamed Ikea products after commonly searched relationship problems in Sweden. This case study looks at how search can drive product discovery by incorporating an SEO perspective into product naming – while bringing a smile on people’s faces.

Danish supermarket Bilka used Facebook’s store visits ad objective to encourage people to shop at its multiple stores, helping to drive 45,000 store visits.

Hardware retailer Lowe’s had a new generation of home owners to market to, the digitally savvy millennial generation. This group didn’t grow up wielding hammers or fixing shower curtains; they are typically less experienced with home maintenance compared to the generations before them; and this has created a knowledge gap - just as this demographic moves into home ownership. Lowe’s is tackling the problem by training millennials on social media; giving them the confidence to take on home improvement projects.

Adobe creates Photoshop Halloween murder mystery »

To celebrate All Hallows’ Eve, Adobe hosted a little murder mystery challenge for Photoshop users on its Photoshop Facebook page. This case study looks at how the campaign resulted in over 4.8 million impressions and 22k Photoshop downloads of the game.
