On this page you'll find a few of the digital marketing case studies we've recently accepted and we hope you enjoy learning from them. Each represents an aspect of best practice we've found useful when teaching digital marketing, and if you're joining us for a Digital Training Academy, then ask about case studies in your sector.
Submit your digital marketing case studies
You can do this online through our online submission form or by email. If you'd like to submit examples of your work then email them into CaseStudies@DigitalTrainingAcademy.com and after an initial review we'll be in touch if we feel they can be used to support learning goals.
There is also an online submission tool, here: http://www.digitaltrainingacademy.com/submit. By sending us a case study you agree we can use it in training, conference speeches, book chapters and reports and other media. You need to be confident you have the necessary rights and permissions from partners or clients to be able to do this. Case studies cannot be restricted to one particular course so we can only accept material which can be used in any aspect of our training. However, if youd like us to withdraw a case study at any point, then we can do this within two weeks.

Social media case study: Taco Bell gets fans using the new taco emoji on Twitter »
After a long battle to get a taco added to the emoji keyboard, Taco Bell celebrated its victory in style by creating the #TacoEmojiEngine which was built directly into Twitter. All people needed to do was tweet the new taco emoji with one of the other 1,295 emojis @tacobell to receive a personalized GIF combining them. The campaign generated more than half a million tweets in the first 5 days and won a Cannes Lions Gold award.

The Pixar-style ‘Justino’ film captured hearts while an engaging social media campaign built anticipation in the run up to the high-profile Christmas lottery draw- increasing spend to an astonishing €55 per person.

Cannes Lions case study: Harvey Nichols wins Grand Prix for ‘Shoplifters’ video »
UK department store Harvey Nichols scooped the Cannes Lions Grand Prix in the film category, with a funny and engaging social campaign that promoted its loyalty app showing real footage of shoplifters (with cartoon faces to protect their identity).

Mobile case study: Neutrogena sun activated advertising »
Neutrogena wanted to advertise its new Beach Defense sunscreen during sunny days, but didn’t want to limit its media to weather forecast apps. By combining weather- and location-based technology, the brand automatically activated its ads based on real-time UV conditions and distance from Neutrogena retailers to create a relevant, engaging campaign that drove awareness and sales.
