4 April 2007: Web 2.0 Academy for Marketers @ London
Our Web 2.0 Academy for Marketers is a great way to get to grips with the potential of social networking and online communities. There are a collection of new approaches, communication channels and marketing philosophies to get to grips with and they're having as much effect offline as they are on the web. Marketing is suddenly about to change and if you're responsible for marketing then you need to be leading your firm's response.

The Web 2.0 Academy is a great way of getting an overview of what Web 2.0 means and how it works. This one day Academy is a sort of introduction to the principles and processes behind Web 2.0, which means that whether you are planning to build an onlien community, launch a wiki or tap into a social network it's a powerful way to get up to speed quickly. We also run in-company versions of it over two days to help firms tackle the issues and change the way they work. These are geared to the specific needs of the business and we have two types of versions: one for brand owners looking to harness Social Networking in their marketing, and another for website publishers looking to create communities and social spaces. For more on the in-company two day Academies, simply email me danny@digitalstrategyconsulting.com - and in the meantime the best of sucecss for your own ventures!

Is your Academy for people who run websites or for brands wanting to advertise using Web 2.0. We're a consumer brand and want to run viral and PR campaigns which seems to be about harnessing what Web 2.0 does. Are these issues tackled on your Academy? Also do you cover social networks as well as user generated content? My team want to start blogs but some of us are nervous about the impact on the brand this will have.
