Terms and Conditions

Joining us at a Digital Training Academy?

Here are a few rules for how the Academy works. If you have any questions then just ask your course manager. We look forward to seeing you soon!

1. Digital's value promise

We know you'll enjoy your Academy. We know you'll get a great deal out of it. We know that when you apply this knowledge it will change the way your part of the business works. That's why here at Digital we have a value promise: if you're unhappy with the service and you believe your training won't deliver back at least twice the value of the cost of the course, then we'll refund you in full. We just ask that you tell us within two weeks of finishing the course.

2. Why we look after our copyright

Our trainers invest a great deal of time and energy in building the materials for your course. Knowledge and insights are our livelihood and that's why all the materials developed by Digital Training Academy, Digital Strategy Consulting and our trainers remain the intellectual property of Digital Strategy Consulting Ltd. To protect the value we've created we assert our right to worldwide copyright, unless specifically agreed otherwise in writing. This means that although we'll share loads of material with you on your Academy, we won't be giving you electronic copies of materials, granting you a license to reuse them or republish them, or making them available to people who did not attend your course. We hope you agree this is fair and that's why we want to be clear up front.

3. We want to learn too

We're passionate about digital and rigorous in our approach to training. As part of that commitment we want to learn as much as you do. We want to learn if anything doesn't meet your expectations, if you still have questions after our courses, if you feel there's anything extra we can add. Our tutors are world class and our courses are fresh with the latest ideas and thinking; but that's not enough for us. We want to know - warts and all - exactly how you found it.

3. Paying for your academy

For our public access Academy courses your course fees are payable in full before the start of the course. If you can't make it, then you're welcome to send one of your colleagues (just be sure to tell us as soon as you can). There's no cost for substituting places. If you need a VAT invoice for your Academy then get in touch with your Course Manager and we'll arrange it for you.

4. Academy prices and VAT

Remember that all the Academy prices we quote are exclusive of the UK sales tax VAT. This 15.00% will be added to your bill. For international delegates and international editions of the course please contact your course manager as we may need your company's VAT number as part of our pre-Academy administration. Our VAT registration number is 788501887.

5. Postponing or cancelling an Academy

It's very rare that this happens, but if we have to postpone or cancel your Academy, we will arrange an alternative date and time for the Academy you were planning on attending. We'll aim to do this within a reasonable timescale. If the change to the Academy is entirely beyond our control then we can't be held liable for any costs or inconvenience.

As an Academy participant we trust that you appreciate that if you cancel your participation after you have confirmed or made payment, then we need to make a charge for that cancellation. This is to cover our costs and to ensure that the course can still run. As an Academy participant you agree to pay these charges if, for whatever reason, you or your representative(s) fail to attend or withdraw from a training course without providing at least 28 days notice before the Academy course was to take place.

6. Confirming a training Academy means making a contract

By booking onto a Digital Training Academy course (through email, our websites, our telephone team, by letter or face to face with one of the Academy managers) you are entering into a contract with Digital Strategy Consulting Ltd and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

7. A special note about sponsored guest places

If you have a guest place for a Digital event then it is for you specifically and we regret that it is not transferable. Guest places are occasionally offered to people attending previous training events. If you accept and join us then we sponsor the cost of your place, however if you confirm and are unable to make the event then you agree to pay a token 33% of the standard participant price (this is because your place would have been used by another participant). If you are unsure about your availability then please discuss this with us before confirming.
