Heineken ditches branding for ‘credible’ social media campaign
Heineken has created a new social tool on Twitter as the next phase of its global ‘Cities of The World’ campaign, which has seen the beer and cider brewer omit its own brand name to provide ‘more credibility’.

Heineken’s YouTube series ‘Dropped’ handcuffs odd couples together
Beer brand Heineken has just concluded its 3-month-long YouTube video campaign ‘Dropped’, featuring a series of strangers handcuffed together in remote locations. Created by agency Wieden + Kennedy Amsterdam, the campaign featured a series of intrepid travellers thrown into unexpected situations, who are then required to complete a series of challenges. So far, the tactic appears to be successful: Videos in the series have racked up more than 3 million views in total.

Heineken boosts brand in China with Christmas campaign
Heineken engaged beer lovers during Christmas, to strengthen its premium brand image in China by activating its global TV commercial ‘The Entrance’ on social media. The dutch brand worked digital marketing agency to create a digital campaign that challenges participants to remember the lively characters from the TV commercial in a social video game, achieving thousands of hours of engagement from web users.
