Crate & Barrel used a Rich Media Ad Unit on mobile to create awareness and drive traffic to its mobile website. The US homewares retailer use AdMob’s rich media ad units with interactive interstitials, full screen expandable ads and banner ads Crate and Barrel created awareness resulting in more than 34,500 users on the website.

The purpose of the campaign was to drive awareness and traffic to the mobile website through display advertising. The campaign resulted in 3.48% CTR across all mobile ads and a 15% CTR on iPad ads. A total of 1 million impressions on rich media ad units were served and more than 34,500 thousand users were sent to Crate and Barrel website. The CTR performance was significantly higher than online display ads.
